Prestonfield is a stunning gay run period hotel in Edinburgh set just a short distance away for the city centre and some very nice gay bars.

There are 22 rooms in this gorgeous country manor and facilities like a golf course and crochet mean you can be real gentlemen and ladies whilst you’re there.

The restaurant is definitely worth checking out as it’s run by John McMahon who produced the banquet for Madonna’s wedding (I’m thinking if it’s good enough for her it’s going to be good enough for you and me…).

There are also four bars to choose from if you can’t be bothered to head into the town centre, although you may not even get that far as the rooms are so romantic it seems a pity to leave them!
